From inner growth to outer change.

Resumo do blog post.

The “How” is as important as the “What”.
Being a leader puts a high bar on the responsibility to guide and inspire others, and keeping on learning is key for me to improve as we go.

One of the most inspiring topics I have recently come across – and which is an important part of my work with Omtare is the Inner Development Goals (IDG) mindset and framework. The fundamental belief is that to grow and reach the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals, from the United Nations), we must invest in our inner development: from inner growth to outer change.

Boston Consulting Group (BCG) shows changes and innovation are formed by  “20/10/70”:  20% around software and systems. 10% about tech tools. 70% about people skills to lead and implement innovative changes anywhere. YES: People make it or break it.

IDG initiative involved hundreds of top researchers to create a framework with 5 dimensions and 23 human competencies that can be actively developed to create new paths to improve personal growth and business performance:

-Being | Relationship to Self
-Thinking | Cognitive Skills
-Relating | Caring for Others and the World
-Collaborating | Social Skills
-Acting | Driving Change

Omtare uses the IDG framework as one of the tools to create positive and conscious leadership and help leaders to build healthy teams that thrive together.

Stay tuned: I will explore these 5 dimensions in the coming days here, and I would love to know what you think about it!
